Maintenance Technician

Today, the Le Bocage Group comprises four companies, each specializing in a particular area of food production and located at different sites in Belgium:

  • Le Bocage: Located on the Plateau de Herve, this company specializes in the manufacture and marketing of cooked pork and poultry charcuterie.
  • Apéro-Cochon: Located in the heart of the Gaume region in the Belgian Ardennes, this company is dedicated to the production of dry sausages.
  • Oliver Food: Based in the Liège region, Oliver Food specializes in the production of ready-made meals.
  • Boubasud: Also based in the Liège region, this company stands out for its production of couscous with fresh vegetables.

To strengthen its technical department, Le Bocage is actively seeking a maintenance technician to join a team of three people.

Your profile

  • You are an industrial electromechanic with at least 5 years’ experience;
  • You have a BA4 and BA5 diploma or a bachelor’s degree in electromechanics with experience or equivalent skills in maintenance, electricity, mechanics or pneumatics;
  • You have knowledge of machines and production lines;
  • You are able to read, understand and interpret drawings;
  • You are a team player and a good communicator;
  • You are methodical, organized, reliable and rigorous;
  • You are able to manage your work, budget, emergencies and priorities;
  • You are proactive, versatile, flexible, a good communicator and a self-starter;
  • You are a team player with initiative, analytical and deductive skills;
  • You have a good knowledge of electricity, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics and industrial computing;
  • You know how to read and analyze electrical plans, schematics and technical manuals.
  • You understand how the various components work, and are able to repair them in the event of a malfunction;
  • You ensure clear communication;
  • You are attentive to all technical aspects and to your line managers, as well as to other departments (maintenance, logistics, quality, etc.);
  • You are able to lift loads (handling mechanical parts, etc.);
  • You solve problems, not work around them;
  • You respect safety, hygiene, work and environmental regulations;
  • You have a good command of welding (an asset).

Your missions

  • You will be in charge of preventive and corrective maintenance and servicing of production lines in a company operating in the agri-food sector, in compliance with good manufacturing and hygiene practices;
  • You participate proactively in the continuous improvement of infrastructure and equipment;
  • You help with the placement and installation of new machines in the plant, understand and monitor their proper operation = > training/explanations to managers and workers;
  • You will regularly check, troubleshoot and prevent breakdowns (lubrication, routine checks, replacement of faulty parts, etc.) on all machines and production lines (saw, coater, cutter, pusher, etc.);
  • You clean, change and repair defective equipment;
  • You strictly follow the tasks requested and keep a record of them;
  • You draw up technical intervention sheets;
  • You replace electrical components (circuit breakers, thermics, frequency inverters, fuses, etc.);
  • You replace mechanical components (bearings, keys, bearings, couplings, gears, belts, geared motors, etc.);
  • You build electrical enclosures;
  • You maintain electrical, fire and …. installations in compliance.
  • You will troubleshoot HVAC systems (cooling, heating, hydraulic pumps, ventilation, steam, etc.);
  • You will maintain and repair air compressors, vacuum pumps and the compressed air network (pressure reducer, filter, etc.);
